Now here’s a little about one of my favorite Instagram experts, who lives right here in San Diego: Jenn’s Trends.
What is Jenn’s Trends?
Jenn’s Trends is a social media blog that helps people understand social media management and current trends in social media. It was started in 2013 by Jenn Herman, who has won a spot in the Top 10 Social Media Blogs for three years in a row and has spoken at many social media conferences. She writes in a casual and understandable tone and is often very detailed in her how-to posts, which is helpful for answering any questions that may pop up as you implement her teachings. Much of her blog is devoted to Instagram and she is known as an expert in Instagram marketing. Her services include: Insta-audit, Instagram training, social media strategy, social media consultations and training, a year-long social media marketing coaching program, and speaking.
Who is Jenn?
Her about page states, “My name is Jenn Herman – yes, that’s Jenn with two “n”s. If you grew up in the 80s you probably had at least 4 or 5 Jen’s in every class!” (This is something that definitely rang true with me. My school growing up only had about 100 people in each grade, but there were usually several Jennifers. My current MBA class of 20 people has 3 Jennifers. Moving on!) Jenn is from Canada but now lives in sunny San Diego. She has had many jobs in industries such as hospitality, retail, customer service, sales, corporate environments, government contract jobs in land and aerospace, and more. She has a love of learning with a surprising undergrad degree in biology and graduate degree in forensic science. Sticky notes are listed as her favorite thing, which help her stay organized, one of her big goals. Jenn especially enjoys “working with people and coaching or teaching others to maximize their skills.”
